Our Flagship Youth Program

Peer Trauma Responder Program™
(PTRP)

The Peer Trauma Responder Program (PTRP) is an 8-week trauma-informed youth leadership program for ages 10–21. It helps young people understand how grief, trauma, stress, bullying, peer pressure, conflict, community violence, and other real-life challenges can affect thoughts, emotions, the body, behavior, relationships, and decision-making while building practical skills for healthy coping, communication, peer support, leadership, and connection to additional help when needed.

PTRP does not train youth to become therapists, counselors, or crisis workers. It teaches youth to care responsibly: to recognize signs of distress, regulate themselves, respond with empathy and healthy communication, know when to refer, rebuild confidence and resilience, and reach back through leadership and service.
